"This vehicle has a host of useful features. Active cruise control is useful, it keeps to the set speed extremely well and keeps spacing on the vehicle ahead. It also reduces the chance of exceeding speed limits, as the car is very easy to drive. It accelerates easily and it is easy to drift to a higher speed than one should. Parking cameras are marvelous. "We decided to purchase the 2017, 30 KWH Leaf because it suits our needs for local transport very well. The greater range compared to the 20 KWH Leaf fits us better. It is just beyond the "range anxiety" we had experienced with an earlier model, borrowed from a friend a few years back. With rising petrol prices in the background, our decision was made easier to "take the plunge" into the EV market. After some research and weighing up the pro's and con's of the various brands and models available in NZ's EV market, we decided towards Nissan Leaf. compact size, reliability, "no frills" contemporary design, ease of use and traceable model history made the final purchase decision easy. We have owned a variety of ICE cars before (Toyota Corolla , Hilux ; Audi A3's ; VW Golf ; Nissan Terrano , Quashqai and went back to Nissan as a brand we had very good experience with so far.
